Quicken to QuickBooks Online

Move years of Quicken history into QuickBooks without doubling your balance sheet

QIF Importer Pro reads a QIF export, works out what each line should become in QuickBooks, and proves the two sides agree before it writes anything.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload the register

Export from Quicken as QIF. Splits, transfers, tags and check numbers all come across.

  2. 2

    Review the mapping

Every Quicken account and category is matched to a QuickBooks type. Guesses are flagged for you to confirm.

  3. 3

    Reconcile before writing

Eight structural checks plus a per-account money table. If the numbers do not agree, nothing is sent.

  4. 4

    Push and verify

Entities are created in dependency order, then read back and checked against the register.

The parts that usually go wrong

Transfers stay one transaction

A transfer written in both registers becomes a single QuickBooks Transfer, not two entries that double the balance sheet.

Safe to run twice

Every entity carries a key derived from its contents. Re-running an interrupted import resumes; it does not duplicate.

Import only the range you want

Start mid-history and the opening balance is synthesized for you. A transfer whose other leg falls outside the window is reported, not invented.

Merge with what is already there

Matches against existing QuickBooks records on amount, date and payee. You decide each one: create, skip, or link.
