End User License Agreement
Effective 1 January 2026
These terms govern your use of QIF Importer Pro, operated by Tompkins R&D. By connecting a QuickBooks Online company you agree to them.
What the service does
QIF Importer Pro reads a Quicken QIF file you upload, proposes a set of QuickBooks Online records, and — only after you approve them — creates those records in the company you connected. It does not modify or delete records it did not create.
Your responsibilities
- You must be authorised to access the QuickBooks Online company you connect and the financial data you upload.
- You are responsible for reviewing the plan and the reconciliation report before approving a push. The service shows you exactly what it will create.
- Keep your Intuit account secure. Access to it is access to your books.
Accuracy and no accounting advice
The service performs a mechanical conversion and reports whether the converted totals match the source register. It does not provide accounting, tax or legal advice, and it does not verify that a categorisation is correct for your jurisdiction or your business. Have a qualified professional review the result before relying on it.
Availability
The service depends on Intuit’s API. Interruptions there will interrupt imports. An interrupted push can be resumed without creating duplicates.
Fees
Core import is free. Date-range scoping, merge review, the reconciliation report and post-push verification require a paid subscription. Subscriptions renew until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current period.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tompkins R&D is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
You may disconnect a company or delete your account at any time. Disconnecting revokes our access token at Intuit; deleting your account also removes your uploads and derived data. Records already created in your QuickBooks company remain yours and are unaffected.
